GAWD, Shadow, you were such a wimp.
I took a break studying… which somehow managed to turn into THIS.
A new minicomic page is coming either today or tomorrow - it’s not very big, but ohh, gosh, I’m giggling so hard as I do this! It’s the funniest thing I’ve done in a long long time.

Shadow may love peanut butter, but he loves his mother most. I really wanted to try drawing the both of them as people from this, especially since I haven’t done a single decent picture of Shadow as a human.
While his father’s Irish as Guinness Beer, Shadow’s mother’s a Flareon foreign immigrant, but she’s every bit the loving (if a little overbearing) Irish matron you’d expect. While her husband’s in the army abroad, she runs the cornershop in Pallet Town, and sells snacks and newspapers. When Shadow didn’t show any interest in the family business, she personally made sure he’d work for Oak.
Shadow’s secretly grateful for that, because if it weren’t for his job, he’d never have met Moira and Gary. When he and Gary first won the Championship, and he was given the microphone to speak, his first words to the camera were: “Hi, Mummy,”
Please forgive me if that Sari looks wrong, I did this while on the phone, I swear to God this is the last time I’ll ever draw traditional clothes from memory again. QAQ

Your eyes aren’t getting worse - I was trying to emulate that really fuzzy grainy quality 70-80’s tv shows had, especially when you’re rewatching them on tape. But seriously, if you’ve been on tumblr for more than two hours, go and look out your window or something before you go blind.

Thank you so much for requesting to see a Caterpie!Rosie. QuQ Augh, it means so much that you’re even interested! *flops about* Rosie used to be the star of an old sitcom called ‘County Down’, her disastrous relationship with that show can be found here.

Rosie literally looked like a cat as a kid. :B *squishes her cheeks*

Cousin Stringy’s a HUUUGE shoutout to one of the most punchable, annoying characters ever, from an old cartoon I loved as a kid. Try guessing to see if you know who it is.

*casually dumps crack all over your dash*

It’s okay! I don’t mind requests (I’d do every last one if I had time), and this was very fun to do!

Aiden is awesome fun to draw - I’m really really happy you like him that much, anon. It really makes me all sorts of happy. ;w;

Psst, more info about Aiden can be found here.

How does one tattoo a shell? It’s like a fingernail right?

Yup! c: A turtle’s shell is also made from his ribs - so it’s kind of like his fingernails, sternum and spine all in one convenient place.

Donny’s ‘tattoo’ is more like a carving - knowing how poor he was, we bet it was done in a Vermillion back alley with someone’s old woodworking toolkit and then the grooves were painted into before they healed.

He’s very proud of his Triskele, though. It’s based on the the Kanto Garda symbol, but different enough to feel it’s his own.

Each leg represents a belief of the Kanto Garda: Security, Fraternity, and Responsibility.

Personally, I gave him that symbol because I love how no one can agree what it means. Seriously, good luck trying to find a single meaning for that triple spiral symbol. Mythologically, it could mean anything, from the Triple Celtic Goddesses, to the three ‘phases’ of the moon. (If anyone from the Teen Wolf fandom tells you it’s exclusively a ‘moon symbol’, tell them that’s bullshit, because it also symbolizes the three stages of womanhood and the region of Sicily.) Personally, I like how some scholars think the rotating motion also suggests the need to never give up - which matches Donahue’s own personality.

Moira’s not the only soulless ginger out there. There’s THIS GUY. Our favourite pokemon-stealing, weakness-hating, soulless ginger rival.
Huehuehue… I WILL RUIN HIS LIFE IN THIS COMIC.
He used to be such a sweet kid, sigh.

Sissy thinks I draw Donahue too attractive, I think that’s not a bad thing. :B
Punzie is puzzled that a man can have more hair than she does. It’s okay Punzie, we think he needs a haircut too, ponytails just don’t work for him.

Old! Aiden
I obviously spend too much time drawing secondary characters of no importance. But, heck to that, I enjoy it far too much.

These are old sketches, so forgive them if they’re a little fugly. ;A; There’s also a human version of him I didn’t like so ignore that.
Aiden currently works as one of Pallet Town’s local postmen under the Dragon Postal Union (the same company that gave you all those Mailmen Dragonites). He keeps a white cat that he wanted to call Pangur Ban, but Moira named it Streaky and it doesn’t respond to anything else now.
…He’s a lot like Postman Pat, when you think about it.
He and Carl O’Phobia go drinking together at the local. You’l find him by the fireplace, keeping the kids entertained with stories. He’s gained some weight, and he can’t battle any more due to his old age, but he could still probably kick your ass.

The same person who picked Charmander in the anime, of course. ;)

Aiden McGuire went on to lead his team to the Indigo League Championship, maintaining their position as Champion Team for five consecutive undefeated years. His retirement from Samuel Oak’s team in 1959 began its slow decline before Oak was defeated by Lance (who was in turn defeated by Gary Oak, somewhat-controvertially restoring the Oaks to their seat of power).

Despite his short tenure as a battler, Aiden’s trading cards are prized by collectors. Never marrying, he settled down and joined the Dragon Postal Union, his postal route of choice being Pallet Town.

He likes telling kids stories of Oak when they were both young and on The Road. Moira likes to say no one spins a better yarn than Aiden himself.

If anyone’s curious as to why Shadow can’t type:

He can’t operate a phone’s keypad either.

I really like his Pidgey, her name is Audrey Arrow.

Playing around with the idea an anon submitted - Shadow becomes fluffier in winter. Any by ‘fluffier’ we mean he turns into a hairball with feet.
I’m sure he was teased for it as a kid.

You guys better put that dang fire out when you’re done with it.
The comic finally has a new little banner for posts on the Nuzlocke Forum. OvOb Not too shabby? Also, it’s full of delicious, delicious FORESHADOWING.
